Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients:
2 ounces butter
1/2 ounce simple syrup
3 ounces spiced rum
3 ounces apple cider, heated
2 teaspoons salted butter
3 ounces water, boiling
cinnamon sticks
freshly whipped cream
grated nutmeg
Directions:
1. Equally divide the rum, simple syrup, and the cider between two Irish coffee mugs or other mugs.

Directions:
1. Equally divide the rum, simple syrup, and the cider between two Irish coffee mugs or other mugs.
2. Place 1 teaspoon of butter in each mug. Pour the boiling water equally between the two mugs and stir to combine.
3. Garnish with the cinnamon sticks and top with whipped cream and a pinch of nutmeg. Serve immediately.
