The Ford Mustang may be going under the knife soon, but before it gets a full makeover, Ford detailed the GT500 with a couple of updates for 2014. Under the hood, you’ll find the same supercharged 5.8-liter V8. Delivering 662 horsepower, it retains its title as the “Most Powerful Production V8 In the World,” pushing the pony car to a top speed of just over 200 mph.
To cope with all this power, engineers made sure to include more aerodynamic work on the front end. This ensures proper downforce and optimum performance at all speeds. Both the front fascia and splitters were a bit sharpened up, resulting in 33 percent more effective aero loading at speeds of 160 mph.
To top off all this power, the Mustang comes with a signature set of Shelby lines and two new color schemes for 2014- Oxford White and Ruby Red Metallic.
