Local Tibetans wave hada, or traditional silk scarves, as they greet the first group of passengers who landed at Daocheng Yading Airport in Daocheng county of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan province September 16, 2013. The airport, at 4,411 metres (14,472 feet) above sea level, surpassed the Qamdo Bangda Airport which has an altitude of 4,334 metres (14,219 feet), and became the highest airport in the world after its inauguration on Monday, according to local media.
