Wisconsin firefighters have contained a blaze that destroyed 17 homes and 30 other structures as it swept across 9,000 acres. The Department of Natural Resources announced on its Twitter account May 16 that logging equipment started the fire. The blaze began May 14 near Simms Lake in Douglas County, 40 miles southeast of Duluth, Minn.
