Anytime someone’s behind the wheel of a high-powered classic race car, the chance of mechanical failure runs relatively high, especially compared to modern cars. Harry Kleinjan – the driver and owner of this classic Porsche 964 RSR – found out first hand just what could go wrong.
At the Hellendoorn Rally in the Netherlands, the brakes of his Porsche appear to have locked up barreling into a turn. It sent Kleinjan and his passenger hard through a concrete barrier, and into the water below.
Thankfully, both the driver and the passenger managed to swim out of the submerged classic without too much injury. Watch it all unfold below:
