The backer of the Keystone XL Pipeline doesn't expect the U.S. government to make a decision on the project this year, Financial Post reports. The long-stalled pipeline is currently pending a State Department review, and President Obama has said he will not approve the project if it exacerbates climate change.
A TransCanada filing Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission indicates the company does not expect the presidential permit to be decided in 2013. The pipeline would carry oil from Canadian tar sands to Gulf Coast refineries.
